Hibushibire

Formed in Japan in 2012. Hibushibire quickly gained a name for themselves with vigorous live performances mainly in Kobe/Osaka.

The band’s sound is based on hard psychedelic rock and progressive rock from the late 60s and early 70s, incorporating ethnic elements, drones and many other psychedelic elements, and thoroughly pursuing a psychedelic groove.

In 2017 they were taken under the wing of underground guitar legend Makoto Kawabata (Acid Mothers Temple, Mainliner) and recorded their debut album ‘Freak Out Orgasm!’ with him in the producers chair.

The band signed with UK label Riot Season records and released the album the same year to much acclaim, then hopped on a plane to tour the UK for the first time, with great success.

In 2019 the band released their second album ‘Turn On, Tune In, Freak Out!’ which again met with praise from audiences worldwide. The band returned to the UK once again to tour, including a stunning set at the Raw Power Festival in London.

The band then headed home to Japan and then, the pandemic hit.

During this downtime, guitarist/vocalist Changchang decided to create a new power trio. Enter Tetsuji Toyoda (Bass/Vocals) & Aoi Hama (Drums/Vocals). The new trio have spent three years writing new music, playing live and honing their sound in Japan, and a short well received tour of Taiwan with Riot Season label mates Dope Purple.

In 2023, Hibushibire mark 2 finally emerged into the wider world, further expanded by the addition of percussionist Kohei Katsuma and released their third album ‘Magical Metamorphosis Third Eye’

In 2025 the band released their fourth album, Flashback Stonehenge and once again returned to the UK and also mainland Europe for the first time, creating another legion of new fans.

2026 sees the band release their fifth album ‘Phantom Fuzzy Exotica’, again via Riot Season. The band return to the UK & Europe to support the release in August/September and you can be sure it’s going to be a loud and spectacular live experience as always.

Let’s freak out!

A wild and restless Psych/Prog/Punk/Pop adventurers from Manchester, likened to Black Midi, Cardiacs, and Frank Zappa.

Legs On Wheels have been featured on BBC 6Music and Radio XS and were made New Band Of The Day on Louder Than War, alongside a glowing review of their debut EP Idelia.

Gliding gleefully through a heady blend of psychedelic pop, punk, jazz and more, Legs On Wheels are an extravagant feast for the ears.

“Knotty, funky, whimsical, charming, whipsmart and adventurous, Legs On Wheels are one of the best things I’ve heard in years. I urge you to investigate if you like music that hits a little different.” (Stuart Maconie)

Dream Skills <> Trigger Object
[This is the only joint set of the tour]

Vern Avola is a composer and multimedia artist based in Portland, Oregon. She has been playing music for over 20 years, beginning her solo work in 2007. She currently releases music under the name Trigger Object; earlier iterations of her solo project include EMS, Avola, and Dirty Centaur. Her work combines bone-crunching beats, wailing electronics, and multi-layered noisescapes described as “fractured, warped, and beautifully deranged.”

Dream Skills utilizes a simple Euro-rack analog/digital modular set up in order to harness the technique of triggering and sequencing collected natural sounds which have been digitized into WAV samples. Explorations into these WAVs using a variety of sequences producing continual vibrations, which, in theory, could be infinite, provide the listener with an imagined experience of my memories living within our man made and natural world. Wavs are triggered and recorded, then layered with analog synthesizers before being mixed and sent out into the world in an attempt to convey personal expression through sound.
