Dééfait

Dééfait are a French Noise Rock/Psych proto-punk band touring their debut album mixed by GNOD, on Ici d’Ailleurs Records IDA due for release in September.

Somewhere between krautrock, noise rock, decaying psychedelia, and pagan proto-punk, Dééfait makes music like one performs a ritual: in trance, on repeat, and without a safety net.

From the chaotic arteries of Mexico City to the basement venues of the Paris suburbs, Dééfait sculpts noise rock in apnea. Their self-titled debut EP is a noise rite: a wall of guitars, incantatory percussion, and possessed voices. With Dééfait, sound twists, repeats, stretches, until exhaustion and ecstasy.

Formed in 2023, Dééfait brings together the Valero brothers (Lucas on guitar / Pablo, ex-Pays P, on drums), Enir Da (bass – Temir Alcy, Dali Muru & the Polyphonic Swarm), Grégoire Couvert (guitar), and Riki Lara, a Mexican-born vocalist and performer whose lyrics — chanted, whispered, shouted — alternate in three languages: English, Spanish, and French. Active on the Paris underground scene since 2024 (La Mécanique Ondulatoire, Le Cirque Électrique, Nouveaux Sauvages…), Dééfait imposes a ritual tension, physical, almost hallucinatory. No choruses to hum along to, no comforting melodies — just a dense sonic flow that seeps and vibrates.

PARASTATIC

Parastatic are three friends from the North East of England with a love for Krautrock, shoegaze and post-rock music.

Since their birth in 2010 they have sporadically released music that fuses motorik grooves with thumping synths and magical guitar sounds.

This release features the new and exciting addition of a spoken word performance from Valencia-born, Newcastle-based electronic and spoken word artist Late Girl.

It’s been 10 years since the last Parastatic long player and they’re back with their best work yet on 3rd album Concrete Reborn, released by Workie Ticket Records on 21 February 2025.

This album represents an evolution of their sound into the space where post-rock, psych and shoegaze congregate.
